OnePlus One phone review
Among all the other phones in the market OnePlus One has left everyone stunned. It is one of the most polarising phones anyone has seen. It’s a new phone from a new manufacturer and gives a new and much better experience than all of its competitors.
Now, talking about the price, which is one of the most valuable features everyone looks for, OnePlus One seems to have adopted the destroyer pricing strategy. Phones like Galaxy S5 and iPhone 5S who are its direct competitors in contrast to specifications, OnePlus One is less than half of their prices.
Starting from 300$ for the 16GB model and 350$ for the 32GB model. Since OnePlus One is not known to many, people usually underrate it on the first look and impression. Moving on to the technicalities of the device,
ePlus One has a Quad-core 2.5ghz Adreno 330 Snapdragon 801 chip with 3GB RAM.
With these specifications, comes a 13 mega pixels rear and 5 mega pixels front facing camera. Judging by the specifications, it drops down in the same category as other flagship smart phones of the giants of the industry like Apple, Samsung and HTC.
It has much more to give if anyone considers it a viable option over its distant cousins as mentioned earlier. Further, closing the hardware details of the phone, OnePlus One has an ample to show off with its own optimised OS under Android 4.4 kitkat.
The phone comes with an android version of 4.4.2 which is upgradeable to Android 4.4.4. OnePlus One gives customisation with great flexibility which lacks in most other smart phones in the market.

The UI is clean and friendly, considering its optimisation. For the design OnePlus One has started off where other smart phones left. Its dimensions are 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm (6.02 x 2.99 x 0.35 inches) making it quite thin and competitive.
No matter where you touch it, the user will feel the metal touching somewhere. Hence, making it a very durable smart phone, made to last longer.
The power and volume button placements are perfect since they are low enough for easy reach. The OnePlus One has a weight of 162 g (5.71 oz) which is light but compared to Samsung’s galaxy S5, it’s a minute heavier. It has a 3100 mAh battery which is quite nice.
It’s pretty soft to the touch and overall it gives a good feel inside the hands apart from some people who dislike having such a big phone. It has a uni-body design which is pleasant to the touch.

This makes it vibrant with appropriate colour saturation and contrast. OnePlus One has dual real stereo speakers which have great sound. Speaking of sound, this phone has 3 microphones for an excellent sound quality on call plus it gives excellent results on noise cancellation.
All in all, OnePlus One is an outstanding addition to the smart phone race which has proved itself worthy of competition and comparisons with gigantic tech companies.
The major plus that OnePlus One has is in the price department where it wins over other smart phones. It is one of the major launches of the 2014 and will give a hard time to people over choosing and hard time to its competitors as well.
